I’ve been in the digital product space long enough to make mistakes, learn the painful lessons, test everything, reinvent myself, and finally understand what makes this business WORK.
And honestly?
I wish someone told me these things before I started.
So if you’re stepping into digital products — THIS will be one of your favorite pieces of content. Because I’m going to be brutally honest about what I’ve learned in the last 2 years.
Let’s get into it.

Lesson 1: Creating Your Own Product Beats Reselling — Every Single Time.
Let me start with a truth most people avoid saying out loud:
If you want REAL digital income — the kind that builds authority, stands out, and sells long-term — resell rights will NOT take you there.
Yes, reselling looks easy.
Yes, the idea of making money from someone else’s work is tempting.
But here’s the reality nobody tells beginners:
Resell-rights products are sold to hundreds of people.
Meaning you’re fighting for attention with the exact same product, the exact same title, the exact same content.
How are you supposed to stand out?
How are you supposed to build trust?
How are you supposed to build a BRAND?
You can’t.
When you create your own product — even if it’s simple — you gain:
- Control over your message
- Authenticity in your story
- Confidence when selling
You create ONE TIME… and it pays you forever.
That’s why I will die on this hill:
Creating your own digital product is the smartest move you will ever make.
It may take slightly more effort upfront…
But the income, the respect, the impact, and the long-term scalability?
Completely worth it.
This industry rewards the original — not the copy-and-paste.
Lesson 2: Your Idea Sets the Entire Tone of Your Business
Your digital product idea is the foundation of everything else. If the foundation is shaky, nothing you build on top will stand.
I always tell my students:
Your best product idea is already inside your life.
Your experiences.
Your skills.
Your struggles.
Your wins.
Your passions.
That’s where authentic, profitable ideas come from.
Examples?
- You bought your first car without a loan → That’s a digital product.
- You plan beautiful parties on a budget → Another product.
- You transitioned careers successfully → Someone is Googling that right now.
Don’t underestimate the things God has walked you through. Your life is a goldmine.
Inside the Digital Goldmine Club, I take students through a simple exercise that pulls out a winning digital product idea — even if they’re clueless, confused, or multi-passionate.
Lesson 3: You Don’t Need to Be a Guru to Start
Let me be blunt:
You do NOT have to be an expert to create a digital product.
You only need to be 1–2 steps ahead of someone else.
If you’ve made your first $500K from an Airbnb business, you can teach someone who’s trying to make their first $100K.
You don’t need results worth millions to help a beginner.
Your current experience is enough to transform someone who is where you used to be.
Lesson 4: Clarity on Your Target Audience Is a Foundational Decision
Most beginners sabotage themselves here.
They create a product… then try to sell it to “everyone.”
But when your message speaks to everyone, no one feels spoken to.
Specificity is what makes you memorable.
- “How to start a thriving online business” → forgettable.
- “How to start an Airbnb business with under $500K” → THAT stops the scroll.
Inside Digital Goldmine Club, I teach students how to identify exactly who they’re selling to, what data to collect, how to observe behavior, and how to craft an audience statement that drives conversions.
Lesson 5: Validation Is Non-Negotiable
This is the part that saves you MONTHS of regret.
Do NOT create a digital product without confirming that people actually want it.
Just because your idea is in a profitable niche (health, wealth, relationships) doesn’t mean buyers are willing to pay for your angle on the topic.
That’s why two people can be in the same niche — one thrives, one struggles.
Validation answers:
- “Is this idea profitable?”
- “Are people willing to pay for this?”
- “Is the angle attractive enough?”
- “Does the messaging resonate?”
Inside Digital Goldmine Club, I teach the most realistic validation process for beginners so you don’t waste time creating something nobody wants.

Lesson 6: Traffic Is What Makes Sales Happen
You can create the BEST digital product in the world… but if nobody knows it exists, you’ve simply created a beautiful secret.
Traffic = sales.
You need people discovering your work consistently. You do that by choosing 1–2 platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest) and creating content with clear CTAs that guide viewers to your product.
And yes — you can do this faceless or face-forward. Both work.
Lesson 7: Your Sales Platform Can Make or Break Your Sales
This is a highly underrated truth.
You can market your product perfectly…
Your content can be amazing…
Your CTA can be strong…
But if your sales platform is confusing, slow, unclear, or unattractive?
You lose sales right at the finish line.
Your platform should:
- Build trust
- Remove friction
- Make buying easy
- Activate desire
- Highlight transformation clearly
Inside the Digital Goldmine Club, I’m adding a full module to help you build a sales page that converts.
Lesson 8: You Don’t Need to Show Up Daily to Make Sales
This is the part nobody talks about enough.
You don’t earn real freedom from digital products until you learn this:
Sales should happen whether you post today or not.
This only becomes possible when you set up a sales system that runs 24/7:
- Traffic →
- Lead magnet →
- Email sequence →
- Sales page →
- Automated follow-up →
- Purchase
When you build this properly, you can focus on your 9–5, take a break, go on holiday — and your business still grows.
This is exactly what I teach step-by-step inside the Digital Goldmine Club.
Lesson 9: Creating Your Digital Product Is Easier Than You Think — If You Use the Right Tools Correctly
A lot of beginners freeze when it’s time to actually create the product.
They overthink it.
They complicate it.
Some even quit.
But here’s the truth:
You don’t need special software, fancy editing tools, or a degree in design.
You just need the right tools — and the right approach.
✔️ ChatGPT to write your content
ChatGPT can speed up the writing process massively, BUT you need to use it correctly.
Most people struggle because they use vague prompts like:
“Write me an ebook about weight loss.”
Then they blame AI for giving bland, generic output.
No — the problem is the prompt.
When you give ChatGPT specific instructions, your unique angle, your audience clarity, your story, your examples, and your transformation, it gives you high-value, original content you can be proud of.
Inside Digital Goldmine Club, I teach give you high quality prompts so that the content sounds like YOU — not like a robot.
✔️ Canva to design your product
Canva is beginner-friendly, but you must be mindful.
People make two big mistakes:
- Over-designing → too many colors, too many fonts, too many elements
- Under-designing → plain, boring, low-authority layouts
Your digital product doesn’t need to look like a corporate magazine.
It needs to look clean, readable, organized, and professional.
Inside my club, I show students:
- The fonts to avoid
- The clean layouts that convert best
- How to format for easy reading
- How to add visuals that elevate your ebook—not distract from it
- How to apply consistency without struggling
Good design is simple, not complicated.
Lesson 10: Give Yourself Grace — Real Results Need Time, Testing, and Consistency
Let me say something that might sting a little, but it’s the truth:
Most people don’t fail because their idea was wrong.
They fail because they didn’t give themselves enough time to succeed.
Everybody wants fast results.
Everybody wants the viral moment.
Everybody wants instant sales.
But digital products don’t work like that.
Nothing sustainable grows overnight.
Here’s the part beginners misunderstand:
👉 You need at least 90 days of consistent effort before making ANY final judgment on your idea, your strategy, or your sales.
Not 3 days.
Not 3 posts.
Not 3 attempts.
90 days.
Why? Because in those first 90 days, you are:
- learning your audience
- testing your message
- refining your angle
- building trust
- improving visibility
- learning how to market
- building your own confidence
- growing your digital footprint
- understanding what resonates
This takes TIME.
People quit after posting for 2 weeks and say:
“It’s not working.”
But the truth is…
they haven’t worked it long enough.
Digital income is like a seed.
You plant it, water it, protect it…
and then one day it sprouts — often when you least expect it.
You need to give yourself GRACE:
- Grace to be new.
- Grace to learn.
- Grace to test.
- Grace to evolve.
- Grace to adjust your angle.
- Grace to grow slow but strong.
And most importantly:
👉 Grace to NOT quit before your breakthrough.
I always tell my students:
Your first 90 days are not about going viral — they’re about building your foundation.
Your next 90 days are when the results start to show.
When you give yourself reasonable time, you start seeing patterns:
what works, what doesn’t, and what needs to be improved.
This is why consistency matters SO much
