The other day, I met my cousin over a cup of coffee. We hadn’t seen each other in a while, so we were catching up. In the middle of our conversation she sighed and said: “Ritah, I haven’t sold a single digital product since I uploaded it on Gumroad. Selling is my biggest challenge.”
Rings a bell? I’ve heard the same story so many times. Watu wengi (so many people) are creating ebooks, checklists, and courses — but when it comes to sales… crickets.
And that is exactly what inspired today’s blog post.

Here’s the truth: sales don’t just happen because you posted about your product. Hakuna magic shortcut. If your digital product isn’t selling, it’s not about “working harder” — it’s about fixing the foundation.

The Myth: One-Tip Fixes Don’t Work
Before we go further, let me burst a myth most so-called “gurus” love to tell you. Their advice often sounds like:
- “Just post more often.”
- “Run ads.”
- “Show up every day.”
Yes, those things may boost visibility. But visibility alone won’t lead to consistent sales if your foundation is shaky.
👉 Think of it this way: posting 5x a day won’t help if your sales page is weak, your messaging is unclear, or your product idea doesn’t solve a real problem.
That’s why I don’t believe in a “one tip fits all” fix. Consistent sales come from a system — and in this series, I’ll break that system down piece by piece.
